Mrs. Smith's updated Social Studies Expectations and Grading Procedures
This year we will be exploring the Antebellum Period through The Great War. More than ever, we will be learning through school based activities and projects, with the students acquiring the background information by reading on their own. Please feel free to approach me if you have a costume that coordinates with a theme we are studying in class and want to bring it in! Please refer to the home page for class expectations and supply lists.
Please use Powerschool and Google Classroom to check grading, final comments and assignments. Google Classroom assignments are often posted ahead of time, plans change during the day and the final assignment may not appear until the end of the school day. When assignments are physically turned in, they and the corresponding comments, will be recorded in Powerschool only. The late stamp and grade column are ONLY added and transferred to Powerschool for assignments that are solely submitted through Google Classroom, not papers that are hand collected or printed out.
