Hi Middle Schoolers!
Welcome to the second half of the school year!Happy New Year! As we settle back into our routines, we are officially kicking off the 3rd Quarter. While the winter chill has settled in outside, things are heating up in the classroom! In our 7th Grade homeroom, we are focusing on "The Mid-Year Reset"—checking in on our organizational habits and setting fresh goals for the second half of the school year. Meanwhile, in Social Studies , we are diving into exciting new units of study as we transition from ancient civilizations, colonial settlement, and the Constitution, into the complexities of the Middle Ages, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. It is a busy, productive season of growth, and I look forward to seeing the students tackle the challenges of history with renewed energy. – Mrs. Smith 7S 2025-2026 Class Schedule See the links for summer references below: Social Studies Expectations from move-up day Optional Make the World a Better Place Summer Challenge 7th Grade Supply list Some links to extend learning https://www.history.com/history-at-home https://www.cnn.com/cnn10 https://www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-seventh-grade-math https://www.councilforeconed.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/FamilyAtHomeFinancialFunPack_Grades_6-8_Final3.pdf https://www.gilderlehrman.org/programs-and-events/online-history-school/american-history-through-film-civil-war-and-cinema https://www.gilderlehrman.org/programs-and-events/online-history-school/american-history-through-song |
